ORPHANAGE FIRE.

INQUEST ON VICTIM. (n«S ASSOCiAWOK HBLEOBAK.) AUCKLAND, March 7. The charred body of Uonald Morris, aged nine, was found this morning in the ruins of St. Joseph's Orphanage. At the inquest, the police said the boy bad been an inmate for two years. Splendid rescue work was performed by the staff, and none was to blame for Morris not being rescued. He was sleeping near the origin of the fire, and apparently was overcome by the fumes before the alarm was given. A verdict of accidentally burned was returned.
