The Oity Council discussed the jnotion/to rescind the city surveyor appointment -The debate was adjourned till next week. [The Sydney City Council appointed Mr Norman Barnett Weeks, of BochSale, England, as city surveyor, but later an alderman gave notice of a motion to rescind the appointment. He stated that certain allegations, made Jirior to the Council meeting had pr* udiced Mr Bush's appointment. A cable message from New Zealand had been received disproving, the allegationaj.
