BRITISH-ISRAEL ASSOCIATION. Tha monthly meeting of the BritishIsrael Association was held on Tuesday night. Mr A. R. Hagg presided, and tho liaJl was fillled with an appreciative audience. An address was delivered by Mr J. I/iddell Kelly, of Deronport, Auckland, entitled "Emblems of Israel. Evidence of Identity from Flags . and Armorial Bearings, etc." The chairman extended the lecturer a hearty wcloomo to Christchurch. Mr Kelly stated that he had been a believer for 60 years in tha British people being representative of tho lost ten tribes. That portion of his address proving identity from our national flags, etc., was received with applause—but the latter portion, making a claim in favour of the Japanese people being also a portion of the lost tribes was not received with approval by several speakers in tho übsequont discussion. At the close a nutn'i«r of questions were answered. On the motion of Mr J. K. Brunt, seconded by the ''or. P. H. l'ritchett, a hearty vote of Hanks wis accorded to Mr Kelly for his Jdresa.
