WOLVES IN RUSSIA.
[ATTACK AND EAT PEASANTS. (bt cabls— prbss association—cqpybight.) (australian and k.z. cauls association.) LONDON,' March 5. .The Riga correspondent of tho "Daily Mail" reports' that great packs of wolves are ranging throughout the Simbirsk district, in South-East Russia, and have eaten during the winter more than 20 persons. They attacked and ate a peasant-, his wife, and two children, and their horses arid a nig which they were taking to market. Soviet militia, armed with' machine-guns, are escorting villagers taking food to the towns.
