ACCOUNTANT STUDENTS' SOCIETY.
The annual meeting of the Aceuntants Students' Society was held n the Christchrch Stock, Exchange on .Monday Mr J. S Lay presiding over a fair attendance of report and statement of accounts, were unanimously adopted. There. Port showed that 193 members were on the Foil and that a very successful year a work had been concluded The annual statement oi accounts showed that receipts for the current year amounted to £B7 to (id and payments to £B7 Is Id while ft balance of £> 13s Id remained in the Bank. *The election of officers resulted as follows —President, Mr F. N. Lawrence; vicepresidents, Messrs J. S. Day, R. J. McLaren W. A. Smith, E. G. Thomas, and H. T.' "Whittingham; hon. secretary, Mr S. hj! Truman; hon. treasurer, Mr C. H. Queree; hon. auditor, Mr G. H. Christie; committee, Mrs !». J. Buchanan, Miss Mathieson, Messrs Armitnge, C. C. Holland, Turner-Smith, R. I". Sutherland, H. L. Wise; librarian, Mr A. L. Nicholson. The committee were_ recommended to draft a complete new eet oi rules for the society, to be considered arid adopted at the nest meeting.
