Foster, and G. D. Etherington. Mrs F. E. Tanaey, widow of "W. T. Taneey, late licensee of the Pier Hotel, Kaiapoi, was granted authority to carry on the license for a further three months. The police reports were read and discussed, special mention being made of the repairs" being carried out at the Jnnc'ion Hotel, Rangiora, and the repairs needed to the Mandeville and Kaikanui Hotels, Kaiapoi. In the caee of the Mandeville and Kaikarmi Hotels it was decided to instruct the licensees to have the repairs effected in accordance with the police rejxirt before next meeting.
