* A special meeting of the committee of the Kaikoura A. and P. Association was held on Saturday, Mr J. Peoples presiding. Mrs. H. Fainveatlier was elected a miemwxr. Mr H. FairweaFher forwarded £1 Is as a special donation. The secretary reported that the entries received in tne respective classes were: —Ground 27S', Produce 382, School 133: total 7i)S, as compared) with ' a total of 832 last year. Further entries would come in before the closing time. Mr G. Edmund Parsons said that the entries in the ground section were an absolute disgrace to a district such as Kaikoura. tie moved that the Show be knocked on the head for two years. Mr E. Wilson seconded the motion. Mr J. McKeeman moved that the Show be carried on, stating that it would be a disgrace to the Association if they let it lapse. Mr C. J. Agar seconded the amendment. Mr McKeeman's amendment, to hold the Show, was carried by a large majority. Messrs P. A~cton-Adams, C. J. Agar, and A. Boyd were elected a sub-commit-tee to allot the special prizes. It was agreed that the Ground Committee and stewards meet on the grounds at 2 p.m. next Saturday and the following Wednesday. Mr G. E. Parsons agreed to supply the necessary rails for wie cattle pens, provided they were! carted to the grounds, and the offer was accepted with thanks.
