WEDDING.
UDY—WEBSTER.
A wedding which caused a good deal of local interest was solemnised at the Methodist Church, lactone, when Mr Ward Udy, son of Mr Walter Udy, of Petone, and a well-known representative footballer, was married to Miss D. E. AVebster, daughter of Mr A. L. Webster, of Greytown, and granddaughter of Mrs Rowse and the late Rev. W. Rowse. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. C. Blair, the church being very prettily decorated by the friends of the bride. The bride, who was given away Dy her uncle, Mr W. A. Rowse, wore a frock of white georgette over crepe de chine, trimmed with filet lace. Her veil was arranged mob fashion, with the orthodox wreath of orange blossoms, and she carried a lovely shower (bouquet of white roses and maidenhair fern. The bridesmaid was Miss M. Webster, sister of the bride, her dress being of lemon crepe de chine, with panel of radium lace, and crinoline hat to match trimmed with eaxe blue sprays. The little flower girl, Beryl Udy, was in a pretty dress of saxe blue crepe de chine. Each carried a bouquet of flowers to match the colour, of her dress. Mr L. Daniels carried out the duties of best man. Mr A. Ackroyd presided at the organ, the service bemrj fully choral. The wedding breakfast was held m the Sunday School, after which a reception was held at the home of Mrs W. Rowse, sen. Burin? the afternoon the happy couple left for their new home at Hamilton, going via Napier and Rotorua.
