A pupil of the Boys' High School named Dalton fell from a sweep pen near the graving dock at Lyttelton yesterday, suffering a broken arm. He received medical attention and was treated as an out-patient at the Christchurch Hospital. (PKESS ASSOCIATION TELEGBAIiS.) "WAIPTJKURAU, February 26. The inquest on Mrs Linda Maihi, the second victim of the Waiuawa tragedy of January 2nd, concluded this morning. The evidence showed that her husband, Puhi Maihi was jealous because his wife was determined to leave him for another man. He hit her with a claw hammer and fractured her skull in six places. Afterwards he 6hot himself dead with a shot gun. His wife never regained complete consciousness and died on February 18th. A verdict was returned that death was due to wounds inflicted on the head by Puhi Maihi.
