Joseph Mischefeki, who was found guilty of forgery, and fake rpetences, was placed upon probation for three years. Counsel said love of tne racecourse had caused the man's downfail He was admitted to probation on condition that ho abstained from intoxicating liquors did not enter licensed premise, did not bet and did not go upon a racecourse, and also paid the costs of the prosecution, £2 lis 6d.
