Arguing the value of such an exchange, the "Telegraph" states:"New South Wales recently suffered an epidemic of safe blowing, there being 16 cases in a few months, and when the offenders were caught they proved to be New Zealand criminals. Had New Zealand had detectives serving here as the other Stateß have, tho epidemic might have been effectively handled.
