LORD NORTHCLIFFE'S WILL.
* . A WOMAN'S CLAIM. (By Cable—Press Aseooiatdon—Copyrijit.) (AtufciJdian and N.Z. Cable Association.) LONDON, December 21. The case in the Probate Court concerning the Northcliffe estate has opened. After evidence had been taken regarding the signature of the will and certain codicils, the proceedings were adjourned. During the hearing a surprise was created by the appearance in Court of a woman, whose name was not revealed. The Judge asked what she wished. She could not be heard plainly, and the Judge asked: "Is ft a claim for money?" The woman answered "Yes." The Judge: "Do you claim that you have a will in your favour, or represent a family who intend to have the will set aside?" The woman: 'Tee: I ask leave to enter a caveat." The Judge told her that she must not interfere with the present proceedings. She would have an opportunity of being heard at a later stage.
