What promises to bo one of the best Christmas Markets ever held in Christohurch, will bo opened on' Tuesday afternoon by the Hon. Sir R. Heaton Rhodes, the Mayor of the City presiding. A novelty connected with the men's Btall will bo the offering lor competition, of a threecoutso dinner all ready to be cooked, together with baking tins, meat-safe and all other accessories. Nor ore the Christchuroh folk alone in their efforts. Hororata's example has been followed, and there is to be a country stall. All four days of the Market should draw big crowds.
