GERMAN DOCTORS' POVERTY.
LONDON, November 25. Panel doctors in Germany are in the direst etraits, (according to the "Berliner Tageblatt"), owing to the depreciation of the mark and lack of patipatients. Numbers of 'medical men are abandoning the profession.' One was selling hot sausages at the Anhalt railway station, until some colleagues recognised him and compelled him to desist. Another worked as a navvy and others are nightly engaged in waiting m restaurants. There were 3000 panel doctors in * i^oiT?- 2 the , second three months >,„« , hen the ex change was 1550 and UG& they earned less than 10,000 marks (equivalent to about £2) a month. Some ,254 doctors earned 300 marks or about 4s a moanth.
