RHODES SCHOLARS.
DISTINCTION FOE NEW ZEALANDEES. (By Cable—Press AMociationr-Copyriirl»U« (Austiolim and N.Z. Cublo Awociation.) LONI3ON, December 7. The report of the Rhodes Scholarship Trustees for the academic year 1921-22 shows that 300 scholars are in residence, of ' whom 156 are from the Empire. Ninety-eight are taking law, sixtjeight medicine and science, forty modern history, eighteen theology, and others various subjects. The academio year 1922-23 starts -with 262 scholars in residence. Among those who won distinction were Messrs Jones (New Zealand, demonstrator for Wykeham Professor of] Physics), A. O. Ponder (New Zealand, lecturer in Chemistry at Baliiol).
