EMPIRE PARLIAMENTARY ASSOCIATION.
VALUE OF ITS WOEK. (By o»hl*—Presa Agsociatiott-CopyrigiU lAn»tiali»n and Jt.Z. Cable A»»waatioa.> LONDON, December 6. Mr Bonar Law, speaking at the . annual meeting of the Empire Parliamentary Association, paid a tribute to | the value of the association's work in i Imperial relations. Its work for the ! Empire's welfare was never more needed than now- The Dominions could ro longer be dictated to, for they bad attained manhood. There was no special machinery to give them the larger share in tha direction of the Empire's policy to which they were entitled. Mr Bonar Law said the war had completely altered the relations between Britain and the Dominions. But for the help we got from the Dominions, the war could never have been won by Britain. Naturally the Dominions now felt that they were entitled to a greater share than ever before in the direction of the Empire's policy. Mr Ramsay Macdonald, leader of the Labour Party, said that security in the future must depend on a very largominded series of experiments. They must try to devise new means of meeting old problems. There was no better laboratory in which to study these experiments than in the self-governing Dominions.
