D*ce4hW* 30tn. Captain John (Jock) Morrison, a, wellknown Auckland shipmaster, died on Sunday. Captain Morrison, who was 49 pears of age, was formerly master of a number oi the Union Company's ateamert, and after leaving the Union Company was master of a schooner trading between New Zealand and Amerioa. Subsequently he was in the Canadian-Pacific Railway Line, but returned to Auckland some months a°o. Captain Morrison was a very popular officer. He leares a widow and fire young children.
