TROTTING NOTES. Nominations for the Creymouth Trotting Club's Summer Meeting cloae to-night at 9 o'clock. The programme is ft very attractive one, with stakes totalling 1575 sovs, the principal events being the Dominion Handicap of 290 aovs, and Grey mouth Trotting Club Cup of 400 sovs. The Ashburton Trotting Club is giving 2500 covs in stakes at its Summer Me«tingf on Boxing Day, the value of the races ranging from 200 eovs to 750 sovs. Nominations close at 5 p.m. to-morrow. Handicaps for the opening day of the New Brighton T.C.'s .Simmer Meeting will be declared to-morrow.

The outsido of the course proper at New Brighton will be open to-morrow and on Saturday for horses engaged at the club's coming Meeting.

Change has been scratched for all engagements at the New Brighton Trotting Club's Summer Meeting. , Willie Lincoln, who was at tho head of the winning- list of horses with £2BBO for tho 1920-21 season, haa rejoined J. N. Clarke's string at New Brighton. At the conclusion of thai Fofbury Park T.C.'a Spring Meeting the trotting mare Jessie McKinney was placed in A. Hcndrik9en'B hands to be prepared for future racing.

When A. MoLellan was suspended for three months on. tho concluding day at Frobury Park, Downcast and Cottage Girl were handed over to P. E. Jones to be trained.

The three-year-old pacer Mountain Chimes has been sold to the Dunedin sportsman, Mr B. S. Irwin and will carry his colours in the Southland Juvenile Stakes at Gore on Boxing Day.

Cold water sustained a bruised foot on the eve of the Forbury Park Meeting, and was unablo to start at the fixture. This waa most unfortunate for his connexions, as the, Coldstream gelding was acquitting himself well in his work.

Oa'thampton, Ahuriri, and Marble Hall, membera of J. Bryce'a team, left for the North yesterday. Great Hope also accompanied them,.and will finish off liia Auckland Cu-p preparation in the North. The three-year-old colt Acron is reported to have struck himself in a work-out after the first day's racing at Dunedin, hence his withdrawal from the Empire Handicap on tho concluding day. J. J. Kennerley's team to race at Auckland this month will consist of five stallions—Homeleigh Dick, First Fashion, Pedro Pronto. Acron, and Great Bingen. The 'Waimate-owned and trained mare Yilo haa been on the easy list since the Metropolitan Spring Meeting. She has freshened up nicely, and will shortly resume work in view of tho Ashburton and Canterbury Park Meetings. The Forbury Park Trotting Club reviewed A. McLellan's case, in which he was suspended for three months for crossing Latona in the Empire Handicap. fie will be allowed to train, but is debarred from riding and driving for the period mentioned.
