YESTERDAY'S MEETIKG. The Christchurch Tramway Board met yesterday. Present—Mr S. A. Staples (chairman), Messrs J. A. Plesher, G. T. Booth, J. W. Beanland, W. J. Walter, D. Sykes', H. Pearce, A. S. Taylor, and. the Hon. j! Barr, M.L.C.

The Works and Traffic Committee reported that in order to protect the tramway track from high tides in- easterly weather, t!-e com mittee proposed to Tepair and raise the sea wall from Pratt street to Moiuck's Bav. The City Council had requested that the" Board should cover the side channel in, Colombo street near Edge-ware road for the convenience of people boardiiK the ca.rs. The committee could not make an exception i this case, and cor.srquently oould not accede to the request. Tenders for uniform supo'.ies had been received, and would be reported on later. The report waj adopted.
