Eruit of a large kind was always bettor than small cramped fruit. If they wero to compete with American fruit they must produce fruit of good quality and appearance. It was better to produce a smaller number because reproduction of a larger number exhausted the tree to a greater extent. Thinning in relation to the present crop was very important. In the future Beason the tree would also be exhausted by over-cropping. People were being educated to the proper quality and size l of fruit. Tue effect of over-cropping on the tree was exhaustion.
