LAWLESSNESS IN AMERICA.
AN EXCITING CHASE. (By Catile—Press Association —Copyright.) (AuitidJian and N.Z. Cable Association.) (Received November 29th, 10.5 p.m.) NEW YOBiK, November 29. At Columbus, Ohio, an unusual chase, resulting in the death of two persons, and serious injuries to two others, ooourred within the city limits. Four men stole an automobile and fired upon two> policemen who attempted to arrest them, killing on© officer. The other policeman shot and killed one of the bandits. The remainder escaped. A posse started in chase and surrounded the remaining bandits in a desert9d farmhouse. One bandit attempted suioide and injured himself seriously; another attempted to esoape and broke his leg in a fali, while the third succeeded in escaping. The bandits were on their way to rob a bank in Southern Indiana.
