The Canterbury Saleyards Co. wrote fliat new cow-pens had liow been erected at Addington yairds, which stalled each cow separately./ It 'was resolved to thank the oftmpany for their .action, and also for erecting special pens for dogs. It was resolved l to make enquiries with a view'to forming a branch of the Society in the Ashburton district. The financial statement showed a credit balance of £l9O 9fl 9d. ,

Mr J. Q. Jameson, the retiring chairman, was accorded a hearty vote of thanks for his services during the past three years. , . '
