"BEAK YE ONE ANOTHER'S BURDENS."
*0 THE ESITOB OF " TUB PJUSSS." ®^ r > Most folk agree that there is a time for .everything. The Carnival Week, just past, was a time for play. We hope all who were able to had a good time. Now we start to put our house in order. We read again a letter appearing in "The Press" of November 4th, by B. E. Baughan, pleading for a home to be bnilt for the mentally defective. As a native and resident for over half a centurv of this beautiful "City of the Plains," * m y a Ppeal to the women of Christchurch to unite in an effort to reopen the "Te Oranga (Model) Home'' for women and girls mentally defective With the land attached already laid out round the splendidly equipped buildings, a competent staff should have no difficulty in making the home self-supporting. We crave the valuable assistance of " The Press " always ready to further the progress of our race.—Yours, etc., E. CLIFTON KING (late "Burwood Lodge.") Christchurch, November 13th.
