ORCHESTRAL CONCERT.
The Christchurch Orchestral Society's third ooncert of the current season takes place at the Choral Hall to-night. The concert is under Vica-Hegal patronage, and the Society's full orchestral programme includes:—Overture, "Martha" '(by special request) (Flotow); "Valse Triste" (Sibelius); suite, "Scenes Pittoresques" (Massenet); Triumphal March from "Cleopatra" (Mancinelli); tone poem, "Finlandia" (Sibelius); overture, "Barbier de Seville" (Rossini). The soloist will be Miss Lillian Hanham, whose numbers wili include "Tacea La Notte Placida," from "'II Trovatore"' (Verdi), 'Tainka'g Song" (Stutzman), and "Spring's Awakening'' (Sanderson). The acoompaniste will be Mrs 7. E. Russell. The box plan of reserved seats is now open at The Bristol. Prices of admission are 2s and Is, plus tax.
