'An official report from Dublin states that a large party of Irregulars have been located at Foxford, Oolinty Mayo. A fierce battle is in progress. National reinforcements have been despatched. Irregulars dragged two National volunteers from their homes in Powellsborough. They mutilated them terribly and then shot, them after a. priest had administered the sacrament. The dead men were originally Republicans, but changed their allegianoe to the Free State. DE VAIiERA'S LATEST. (Received November Bth, 10.20 p.m.) LONDON, November T. De Yalera's newest proclamation in the name of the Irish Republic protests against "the junta established at the instigation of the British Government, contracting debts for war material in the name of the so-called Provisional Government," and the public are notified that such debts' "will not be recognised by tho State."
