ST. ALBANS PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH.

+ ; The Management Committee gare a social on Monday fo the members of the Ladies' Guild and other Church workers, in appreciation of their splendid services to the Church. The minister, Mr Tennent, was in tho chair, and the church was full. Community singing, under the leadership of Mr T.M. Charters, was indulged in, and an excellent programme of music, songs, and recitations followed, the items being enthusiastically encored. He performers were the Bev. J. Paterson and Messrs I. Baker, JT. M. .Charters, R. J. Hobbs, and A. Owen. Supper followed, and was much appreciated. The catering was in the capable hand* oi Messrs Norrie and Wren, while' the reminder of the committee aoted as waiters, •tc. Votes of. thanks were passed to the performers, and Mrs Tennent expressed the appreciation of the ladies, and their thanks for the enjoyable evening they had spent.
