BOAED OF GOVERNORS. The Canterbury College Board of Governors met yesterday, when there wore present—- . Mr H. D. Acland (chairman), Dean Harper, Hon. C. J. Smith, M.L.C., Dr. G. 11. L. Lester, Dr. C. Chilton, the Rer. 3. Lawry, llesara C. H. Opie, H. Boyd, A. Fairhairn, A. E. Floifer, L. B. Vood, J. R. Cuningham, C. T. Aschman, J. J. DoUgall, G-. T, Booth, W. Brock, J. C. Adania, L. M. Isitt, M.P. The Jlusenm and Library Committee reported that it had instructed the College j architects to prepare sketch plana of •delations to the Public Library buildings, to pro- ) vide additional accommodation lor the roferj i-nce and juvenile departments. The co.tni mittee recommended that the thar.ka of the i Board l.e accordtd Messrs Booth, Hacdomld ! and Co., Ltd., and the Dominion Compressed Yeast Co, for donations to thn technical and commercial sections of the Public Library. The report wua adopted. The College Committee recommended that the representatives of the Board to the conj icrtnce of bodied of High Schools, j to bo held in Wellington on September S9th, : ba selected from the membera of tho delega- | tion to be appointed to wait on the Prime | Minister and tho Minister of Education in connexion with the new Boya' High School and other matters. The recommendation was adopted. The chairman, Hon. G, J. Smith, M.L.C., and llnusra L. M. Isitt, M.P., C. T. Aschman, and J. R. Cuningham were appointed delegates to wait upon the Prime Minister and ths Minister of Education.
