UTILITY POULTRY CLUB.

MONTHLY MEETING. The monthly business meeting of the New Zealand Utility Poultry Club was held last night, Mr. H. Beck presiding over a fairly large attendance. Apology was made for the absence'of Mr J. B. Merrett. . ' Regarding the complaint made at' the previoua business meeting that Algerian oats had' been fed to competition birds, Mr R. W. Hawke said that he did not know how it was possible for anyone to have said that Algerian oats had been, fed to the birds: the management committee "had never contemplated doing so and-no suoh thing had b.on done. Only one bird! Had died and it had died' of general debility and not from oate. The use of Algerian oats as feed for the birds bad been the furthest from the • committees thoughts.
