' The fifth and final Nnpier wool pale of the season took place to-day, when although onlv a small catalogue—47l4 bales—was offered, -there was perhaps the most successful sale of the season. There was a representative attendance of buyers, who competed with spirit for all classes, and as a result there was a clearance of practically every lot offered under the- hammer.

The prices obtained showed an average advance of Id to lid, and if prices realised are maintained in the early part of next season the farming community will have cause for complete satisfaction, and the industry will be likely to be placed on a payable basis. There was competition by American buyers for the,, better class of wool, which sold well at an 'increase of lido. 11 the. last sale.--,.;.
