GOLD IN NEW SOUTH WALES.
THE MURIEL TANK REEFS. (By Cable—Press Association—Copyright.! (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) (Received May 19th, 11.15 p.m.) SYDNEY, May 19. The strike of gold at Muriel Tank is proving richer than was at first anticipated. The prospectors claim that there are nine separate reefs, each probably a mile long, with ore all the way, yielding from one ounce to thirty ounces to the ton, and in odd spots as much as forty ounces. Every yard of the new field is now pegged out.
