As a " protest against taxation,'. the proprietors of the principal Paris cafes and restaurants in which bands play have decided, states the Continental "Daily Mail," to do away with music' in their establishments., The result no doubt will be that bands will be retained only in a few cafes and restauants with a wealthy clientele. The ordinary citizen and his wife who dine out as an occasional treat will have to do without music.
