Tho committee which has been sot uj> to go into tiie question of .taxation iu tho Dominion will meet, in. Wellington on May 23rd. Typewritten cornea of evidence and from 'producing industrial and labour organisations and other classes of taxpayers are invited. A meeting of those interested in tho formation of a harrier club in Christchurch is to be held at 7.50 to-night in tie Pioneer Club rooms.
