RANGIORA METHODIST CIRCUIT.
• II • ♦ The quarterly meeting of the Bangiora, Methodist Circuit was held on Wednesday •evening, tto Kev. A. N. Scotter presiding over a good attendance. Feeling reference -was made' to the death of. Miss Swift, of Woodend, and Mrs John Horton, Bangiora, as well as to the passing of two Methodist ministers, Bers. W. O. Oliver and L. Hudson. The membership returns were considered satisfactory, . It was leported that the young people's meeting, were being recommenced in Bangiora, Southbrook, and Woodend, and that the Sunday -Schools were being well attended. Circulars were read from, the Foreign Mission, and Home Mission Departments. Miss Graham was appointed circuit secretary for the former, and Mr T. Dennis for the latter. Agents were also appointed for the new missionary magazine, "Fields Afar." Centenary matters were referred to, and Mr, C. S. Avers was> appointed circuit secretary and treasurer. .The Hev. C. A. Fostcra was requested to act with Mr S. Ayers as on agent for the "Methodist Times." Arrangements were' mode for church conversaziones to be held during the quarter at Bangiora, Southbrook, 'Woodend, and Sefton. The balance-sheet for the lost quarter Bbowcd that tlio harvest effort had cleared off a deficit of £3B, had raised £53 for the parsonage fund, and had left a credit balance of £5 18s.
