Who has heard of mosaic disease?? (asks the ''Poverty Bay Herald"). Uis is a disease that affects tomato p.anta and has only lecently been diagnosed in this district, Mention was mad© of it at the Fruitgrowers' Association s meeting, when it was referred to by one speaker as a moit insidious complaint, necessitating the selection of seed which, is known to come from healthy plants. The gentleman mentioned that out of a large number of tomato plants in his garden lie had discovered only one that had not been infected.
