She weathered the point at Island Bay; but, as it was feared that the''wind would carry the can▼MaWay; if she tried to enter the bayj the;Nortaa,stood across to Palliser Bay, and 'found an anchorage off Klddiford's; station. ,TJio crew had good shelter, in a comfortable cabin, with plenty of fresh water; but no food. The Noma rode out .the gale till 9 a.m. yesterday, and then started homewards under sail. / OtTier fistiiiig craft' had been out £earching| : and during the forenoon one ' of them picked up the Noma and towed nerjto Island-Bay.
