MEETINGS AND SOCIALS.

HOPE OF CHRISTCHURCH LODGE. The weokly meeting of the Hope of Christchurch Lodge was held in the High street Schoolroom, Bra Ford, Chief Templar, presiding oyer a large attendance. Two new members 'wore initiated. A debate took place on questions from the question box of the previous meeting, which proved very instructive and amusing. Brothers Havard and McKaskiU were appointed delegates to the Jubilee of the Rechabite Lodge. PERSEVERANCE LODGE. At the meeting of the Perseverance Division Sons and Daughters of Temperance, Bro. W. Crawley, W.A., presided.. Bro. J. H. Jones, M.W.S., paid a visit to the Division, and assisted in the initiation of four new members. Bro. Clothier, R.S., reported that three candidates would be initiated next meeting night. He also stated that ho had gained the gold emblem for proposing twenty-five new members, and wae authorised to apply to the National Divisional Executive for it. Siok pay amounting to £2 was passed for payment. IVY OF LINWOOD, U.A.O.D. There was a J*rge gathering at the fortnightly meeting held in the Orange Hall, audi a joyous spirit was manifest. A.D. Bro. Tom Burgess wielded the gavel in a firm, and businesslike way, which augurs well for his future Druidic distinction. Tho bards reported on the condition of tho eick hroUicra, and sick pay £l2 3s id was passed for payment. Bw. C. Tonkin reported on the opening night of the U.F.S. Card Association, arid stated that the .lodge team scored a win. On the conclusion of the lodge business the meeting adjourned for harmony, and a pleasant evening was spent.
