Graves, formerly commander of the American forces in Siberiia, appeared before the Senate Labour Committee. He declared that General Semenoff, who is under arrest in Now York, was guilty of wholesale murders. General Graves submitted the testimony of American oißrers who liadl seen trains filled with Bolshevik prisoners sent out. nnd retuiM empty. Investigation revealed great common graves, where the massacred captives wer© buried. Other evidsnoe showed that General Scmenoff's troops"t«urdeicd five American soldiers. Lieutenant.Colonel Morrow testified that General Semenoff's chief lieutenant executed men by hundreds, cutting them to pieces with 1 sabres.- Lleuten-ont-Colonel Morrow's force yielded to appeals by thousands of farmers who were menaced by General Semenoff's division; which killed and plundered indescribably.
