% Mr' Winston Churchill'* capture by the Boers in the South African campaign, when he was a young war correspondent, has often been described. A .British armoured tram was wrecked at Chievlev, in Natal, and as Mr Churchill tried to escape he was held up by a Boer on Jborseback with a levelled rifle. Sir Charles Coghian, head of the Ehodesian delegation recently in London, has now added a curious sequel. He told a representative of the "Cape Times" tnat Mr Churchill, in a reminiscent mood, described to him how, -many years after, when he (Mr Churchill) was a Minister he recounted the story to General Botha in London, and Botha said, "You were the man, then, eh? Why, I was the Boer on the horse." Seven footprints made by giant dinosaurs millions of yeara ago are discernible on a slab oi Connecticut Valley SF.S.A.) sandstone which the Mount olydfte College has obtained. On the standstons were found fossilised mudcracks and ripple marks of bygone ages. Both sides of the slab, which measures 13ffc by 6ft, bear marks of geological interest. The ripple marks were made in the ooze millions of years ago in the Connecticut Valley when it was a large river bottom occasionally flooded. Ine footprints show that at least ko dinosaurs, one a big one, the other apparently its young, roamed over the mud fiat* on their bind toga*
