NEW PROFESSOR OT BACTERIOLOGY, (URESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) DUNEDIN, March 31. The- Otago University Council has appointed Dr. Peter MacCallum,. assistant clinical pathologist at Edinburgh Royal Infirmary, as Professor of Bacteriology and Public Health, in sviccession to Dr. Champtaloup, who dieel last September. The new professor is 36 years of age, and a New Zealander. He was educated at Christ's College, Christchurch, and. Canterbury College. Dr. Benhani, a member of the Council, has given notice to rescind) the motion. appointing Dr. MacCallum. This will be considered at a special meeting of the Council to be held at un early: date.
