Another portion of the renowned Britwcll Court library is being sold at Sotheby's this week (says the London "Daily Mail" of February 7tli). The library is the property of Mr S. Christie Miller of lint well Court) Burnham, Bucks, and portions already sold have realised over £250,01 X). Yesterday specimens of Early English poetry and other literature separately realised hundreds of pounds. Small volumes which could be put into the waistcoat pocket brought in an a,verage of about £SO. The premier price was £30[.0 for a copy of "Emaricdulfe,'' which is a collection of sonnets written by _"C. E. Esquier" in 1595, and printed in London in that year. O.Uy one other copy is known, that former, y in the library of Longner Hall, near nlv-ewsbury, and which was sold by private treaty two years ago. The example sold yesterday was bought by Dr. llosenbacb., of the United States. A copy of Chaucer's "The Love and Complaints between Mars and Venus" (1510), the only copy known, went to I>r. Rosen'moh for £1250.- Nicholas Breton's "Bnttons B.owre of Delights" (1591) brought £755.
