OXFORD DOMAIN BOARD.
At the adjourned annual meeting of the Oxford Domain Board there were present— Messrs A. Stubbs (chairman), F. Debenham, G. A. Ryde, and D. Hawke. An, apology wall received for the absence of Mr Alford. The report and balance-sheet were adopted. The chairman reviewed the work of the past year, end thanked the members for the assistance given him. Mr Hawke moved and Mr Ryde seconded, a vote of thanks to the chairman for his services during the year. Mr Stubbs then vacated the chair, and was afterwards re-elected chairman for the ensuing year. It was resolved that letters of thanke be sent to Mr •Alford, Mr F. Pachnats {caretaker), and Mr R. H. Gainsford for their services to the Boatd.
j An ordinary meeting was then held. ■ Correspondence was read from the Osford Club, asking that the grant of £»5 prorated be paid. The request was granted. A deputation from the Soldiers' Memorial Committee, consisting of MeasTs P. Fisher, P. Oarlicjc. and P. H. Thompson, waited on the Board, asking at Ur reconsider its decision in regard to the Soldiers' Memorial site. Mr Fisher stated that it was the wish of the parente of fallen soldiers that the monument should be erected on the pith leading from the Park gates, and he asked the Board to allow it to be erected there, xt was decided to inspect the site and give a reply at an early date.
