SOLDIER SETTLERS.
(PBE3S ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) DANNEVIRKE, March 20. The soldier settlers on the Glengarry block are experiencing a hard time in carrying on. A meeting was held on Saturday to consider the prospects pf the men. It was decided, unanimously, to invite the Minister of Lands to vis»t the district with a view to meeting the soldier settlers and inspecting the Glengarry block, and that the Minister be requested to introduce legislation amending the Discharged Soldiers' Settlement Act, in order to provide for the immediate revaluation an<J adjustment of capital value and rent in cases which were shown to be urgently necessary.
