Rather a good story was told at the meeting of the Koyal AVeilington Choral Union this week. The president (Mr A. L. Wilson) accompanied the members of the union to Hawke's Bay when ''The Messiah"- was produced. While crossing a street in Hastings he narrowly missed being run over by a large motor-waggon belonging to a brewery. The driver just stopped the engine in time to prevent a tragedv, andat the waggon came to a halt he; looked at the genial president and said in a tone of sorrow: "I say governor, if I'd run into you you'd be looking for your' Messiah to-night."
