AUSTRALIAN IMMIGRATION POLICY.
QUEENSLAND PREMIER CRITICISES MR HUGHES. (By Cable—Press Association—Copyright.) (Australian and N.Z. Gable Association.) SYDNEY, March 2. Mr E. G. Theodore, Premier, of Queensland, states that Queensland has been humbugged by Mr Hughes in connexion with land settlement for immigrants. The Commonwealth Government was not asked to make any concessions to Queensland, but only to cooperate in raising the loan money. After dawdling for a year, said Mr Theodore, it was obvious that the Commonwealth Government did not mean business.
