CANTERBURY B v. SOUTHLAND. ' i The match between Canterbury B and Southland was concluded at Lancaster Park yesterday, and resulted in a very easy win ; for Canterbury by an innings and 90 runs. | la Southland's first innings A. Hamilton and Kavanagh made a good stand for the firet wicket, and 94 was on the board before the partnership was dissolved, but with the ex* ception ot Gleeson the training batsmen aid little, snd the whole side whs out for 153. Eix bowled splendidly. Of his ten overs six were maidens, and liis two wickets cost only IS runs. Southland commenced badly in their second innings, and three wickets were down for 38. However, Gleeson and A. Hamilton made a good stand, and carried the total to 204. Tho last five wickets produced only 26 runß, and the total was the Fame as that of the first innings. McLachlan wus in good form with the ball, and his lv'ckats were obtained very cheap.}'.
