ARANUI FETE.
A very successful fste was hold in the Breezes road School grounds, on Saturday unler the auspices of the Aranni Burgesses* Association. The proceeds are to be devoted towards acquiring a hall and ground for tennis, and kindred sports lor the district.. The grounds and sohool were decorated with streamers and bunting, while the giounds were brilliantly lit in the evening with elecivio light. In. th» grounds *ere »rm<« containing stalls for the sal* of fruit, garden produce, poultry, and mutton, out flowers, and pot plants, cakes, eweels, K» creams, 000 l drinks, tea, etc., while bran tubs, cocoanut shies, races, «nd other competitions were provided for tho younger members of tfte public. During tire afternoon th» Brighton t>rum and Fiie Band played selections, and baby showe, club swinging items, and a con-, tinuous sitting of a mock court kept tne crowd amused, The fete opened at 2 p.m., winding up with a dance in, the school in th© evening, all stalls being then sold out.
