The Prince reached Bikaaer after a journey across the central desert of Rajputana, through such a smother of sand and dust that the train, had to be hermetically sealed. The Prinoe was accorded a great reception by the Maharajah, attended by picturesque groups of nobles and state officials. His progress through tin tewn was a repetition of the prcviow sumptuous, brilliant displays and th< lcynl welcomes accorded him in othe: native States. Various State functions, including a review of Stat* troops, followed. Lavishly bedizened camels for which the State is famous, were a prominent foaturo of the functions. DELHI, December 4. Following a State banquet at the palace at Bikanor, the Prince of Wale enjoyed a striking programme of Indian entertainment, in,the form of n religious fire dance. A big bonfire wos allowed to die to glowing embers. Then a group of bare--1 legged natives, after circling zoned, danced into tho fire tUA continued to caper about on the red-hot ashes. They also blow the embers with their mouths. ! The whole effect was demoniac. At the finish, the dancers pirouetted | before the Prinoe, clamouring for him to inspect their feet, which showed no signs of damage by fire, being moUt and cool. The entertainment was continued by j a largo batch of nautch girls and jugI glers, and was concluded with nauu-ii girls singing "God Save the King," ' specially rendered into Margari.
