ST. MARGARETS COLLEGE.
ANNUAL SPORTS. The annual sports of St. Margaret's College were held on Saturday, in the delightful grounds in Papanui road, where the now house for boarders is in course of erection. The weather proved most favourable for such an occasion, and a large gathering of parents and friends assembled for what proved to be a very enjoyable afternoon. Many availed thomselves of the opportunity to inspect the beautiful garden. Afternoon tea was served by the girls on the lawns. Amongst those present were l>r, and Mrs Acland, Rev. C. Perry, Rev. H. and Mrs Jones, Rev. P. H. and Mrs Pritohett, Dr. and Mrs Stevenson, Mr and Mrs Wyvern Wilson, Mr and Mrs H. D. Acland, Mr and Mrs E. G. Hogg, Mr and Mrs Calvin Lord, Mrs Waite, Mrs T. W. Cane, Mrs F. Marric, Mrs G. 11. Stevenson, Mr and Mrs Denys Hoare, Mrs bong, Mrs Fraer, Mr and Mrs Barmehr, Mr and Mrs Huie, Mr and Mrs H. H. Wauchog Miss Ross, Miss Ella Bull, Miss Cox, Mr and Mrs Templeman, Mr and Miss Fox, Mrs Taylor, Mrs Send Gowing Miss Estelle Davis, Mr and Mrs W., J. Hunter, and Mrs J. C. C. Crosar. The races, which were run for points, and not for individual prists, were judged by the Rev, F. N. Taylor, Mr Hoare, and Miss Macfarlane.
