ORCHESTRAL SOCIETY.
The Christohurch Orchestral Society's fourth concert of the current season will be given on Wednesday next at the Choral Hall. Tho programme is a request one and will include the following items by tho Society's full orchestra of 60 performers:— Overtures, "The Fledermaus" (Strauss), "Gabrielle" (Rosso), "Semiramide" (Rossini), Grand March, "La Reine de Saba" (Guonod), "Spring Song" (Mendelssohn), "Eccentric Dance" (R. A. Home), "Valse Trists" (Sibelius), "Peasants' Danos" and "Bridal March" from "JFeramors Suite" (Rubinstein) and Miniature March from •'Casse-Xoisette Suite" (Tsohaikowsky). Tho soloists will be Miss Louise Crouoher (violiniste), who will posy "Romanze" (Beethoven), with full orchestral accompaniment. The vocalist will be Mr Leslie Fleming, who will sing "Lovo Mo or Not" (Secchi) snd "The Temple Bells" (Woodforde-Finden). Miss Bonnie Young will be tho accompaakte. The box plan of reserved seats opens on Monday morning at 9 o'clock. The programme is of special interest to the residents of Lyttelton ami tho Bays as the Society will give a concert at the Harbour Lights Theatre, Lyttelton, on Wednesday, 14th inst., when the same programme will be performed.
