INTER-SCHOOLS' FOUBS. In view of the growing interest in the forthcoming inter-Schools' Race at Wangauui, the following notes from an Oamaru correepondont will be of interest. "The AVaitaii Boys' High School's-crew is a preitty heavy one, arreragiug llet 101b. It consists of C. Hosking (stroke), K. V. Smith (3), G. G. Anderson (2), J. D. Logan (bow), while H. Nixon is oox. Smith was 3 in the crew laet year, and Logan, who was 2, is now rowing bow. This is the third year that Nixon has coxed the crew. The land training has been going on Bteadily, But the water work has been considerably interrupted by bad weather. The Oamiiru Harbour, of course, ie by no .meajos ideal for rowing. On: several occasions tho crew has not been aiblo to get out at all. Tho weather, however, is now more settled, and the crew hopes to get in some solid work before the boat is railed next Wednesday or Thursday. The Waita-ki representatives should give a good account of themselves, in the race."
